Het leven van een neoprof - week 1
Zoals reeds gemeld, zullen we vanaf nu elke week enkele vragen stellen aan Gianni Meersman, neoprof bij Discovery Channel. En dat maar liefst een heel seizoen lang. Op het einde van het seizoen zullen we dan een duidelijker beeld kunnen schetsen van de renner zelf en "het leven van een neoprof".

Après sa fracture de la clavicule lors de la troisième étape du Tour Méditerranéen Mickaël Delage vient de revenir à la compétition lors de La Route Adélie. Le vice-leader du classement intergiro 2006 (derrière Paolo Bettini en personne) a bien voulu répondre à quelques questions.

Canadian Ryder Hesjedal, of Victoria, B.C., came away with a nice consolation prize for his efforts in the Tour de Georgia - the final king of the mountains jersey. Hesjedal, 26, joined the Health Net squad this year after his former squad, Phonak, disbanded following the 2006 season.

CSC rider Fränk Schleck took his first major victory in last year's Amstel Gold. He's back at the Amstel now, and today will attempt to defend his title in the monstrously tough Classic. Despite the pressure, Schleck was in a relaxed mood the day before the race.
