The build-up to the biggest cobbled Classics of the season starts now in Flanders with the Dwars Door, E3 and Gent-Wevelgem, before the Ronde van Vlaanderen and Paris-Roubaix sit at the end of the pavé as the World championships of the Kassien. Wanty-Group Gobert’s Dimitri Claeys is a man of Flanders and looking forward to the battle, Philip Malcolm caught up with Claeys in his home town of Gent to hear his hopes for the spring.

Dimitri Claeys tentera de prolonger demain son titre de Champion provincial de contre-la-montre. Les dernières semaines du coureur issu de Flandre Occidentale n’ont pas été sans embûches, mais il a tout de même obtenu deux Top 5 ce week-end. Il a en effet terminé troisième de la Gainsbarre samedi, et cinquième de la Gislard le lendemain.

Après deux saisons passées dans la formation professionnelle allemande NetApp, Dimitri Claeys (24 ans) revient avec succès sur les courses qu'il affectionnait lors de son apprentissage chez les espoirs. Vainqueur de l'Interclub à Affligem, du Championnat provincial du chrono et d'une manche de la Top Compétition aux Pays-Bas, Claeys répond aux questions de www.directvelo.be.
