The CCC team were in Spain for their yearly December training camp, get together and media day and our PEZ-man in Spain, Alastair Hamilton, wasn't just there for the special CCC tiramisu. Patrick Bevin flew in from New Zealand for his regular PEZclusive catch up on the year past and to look forward to 2020.

BMC’s Paddy Bevin Gets PEZ’d!

New Zealander Patrick Bevin is at the moment in Australia having just finished the Santos Tour Down Under with his BMC team. On stage 5 he towed the peloton to the base of Willunga Hill to set Richie Porte up for the stage win. PEZ spoke to Paddy at the BMC training camp in Spain before he jetted off to the antipodes.

Patrick Bevin burst on to the radar of many Australian cycling fans when he dominated the second half of the 2014 National Road Series (NRS) with the Search2Retain team. Since then the 24-year-old New Zealander has joined Avanti Racing and enjoyed further success in the NRS, not to mention his victories in the Oceania and Asia Tours. Aaron S. Lee caught up with Bevin at the recent Tour de Korea where the latter found himself on the podium on all but one of the race’s eight stages.

Under19 New Zealand and Oceana Road Champion Patrick Bevin has been signed by American squad Bissell. Bevin will join two other New Zealand riders at the Bissell squad in the form of Peter Latham and Jeremy Vennell.
