Questa è la prima domenica di riposo per Eli Iserbyt dopo molte settimane, tra gare e viaggi, una stagione iniziata prestissimo la sua, a settembre quando si presentò nella lunga trasferta americana di Coppa del Mondo ponendo le basi della sua conquista del trofeo di cristallo. Fino all’ultima gara, il campione belga della Pauwels Sauzen Bingoal ha cercato di mantenere alta la concentrazione evitando ogni distrazione, ma si sente dalla sua voce come finalmente sia più rilassato, dopo un anno vissuto sempre al massimo.

If Iserbyt was the story of September and October on the Men’s side, Van der Poel has been the story of November. Iserbyt gave the World Champ tough fights at the Euro Championships in Italy and World Cup Tabor in the Czech Republic, but the last two weekends, the Dutch star has returned to his dominant ways.

De Belgische delegatie voor het WK veldrijden is deze namiddag aangekomen in Odense. Absolute speerpunt bij de beloften is Eli Iserbyt. De 21-jarige West-Vlaming mikt zaterdag op een derde wereldtitel in de U23-categorie. Daarvoor moet Iserbyt Tom Pidcock afhouden.

Eli Iserbyt a pris ce dimanche la 3e place de la quatrième manche de la Coupe du Monde de cyclo-cross, disputée à Namur. Le double Champion du Monde Espoirs, qui dispute sa dernière saison dans cette catégorie, fait le point pour DirectVelo.

Het winterseizoen begon in Geraardsbergen met een valse noot voor Eli Iserbyt, maar de pas 21 geworden West-Vlaming had snel zijn niveau te pakken. Het gaat de laatste weken in mooie stijgende lijn en dat is ook de manier waarop hij zijn carrière aanpakt.
