Jeff Pierce is one of only two US riders to have won the final stage of the Tour de France on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The other is Greg LeMond who won in 1989, Pierce took his victory two years previously, just ahead of Canada's Steve Bauer. Ed Hood has his story.
