Borut Bozic has been in the top echelon of professional cycling for quite a few years and seen it all. From Astana he has moved to the French Cofidis team for 2016 to work for super-sprinter Nacer Bouhanni and as he says “no one is an angel in the last 5 K”. Ed Hood catches up with Borut to hear about the French red sprint train.

The Classics season has started and if you are a fan of those cobbles it won’t be long before you see the name: Borut Božič in the results. The Slovenian is Astana’s man for those early hard man’s races in Belgium and Northern France and we were lucky enough to have a chat about his big love; those Northern roads of Hell!

21st in Milan San Remo, 2nd in Dwars door Vlaanderen and 2nd again in Gent-Wevelgem last weekend behind a seemingly unstoppable Peter Sagan. Astana's Slovenian strongman Borut Bozic is a man in form. We caught up with Borut this week to check in on his preparations for Sunday's big Flanders race and to talk about his superb start to the season so far.

In 2008 Borut Bozic triumphed in the hotly-contested Slovenian road race championships and went on in 2009 to claim a Vuelta a Espana stage as well as two stages in the Tour of Belgium plus stages in the Tours of Poland and Limousin. Next target: "Win a stage in the Tour de France!"
