Last october Canada's Alex Wrubleski was injured when she got hit by a truck whilst she was out training near Calgary. In 2009 she will be riding for the Columbia-Highroad professional cycling team and during the squad's training camp in Mallorca, she spoke about the accident.

The Canadian National Women's Team are having stellar spring over in Europe with Alex Wrubleski placing 6th at the Ronde Van Drenthe and 4th at the Fleche Wallonne rounds of the Women's Road World Cup and is now in 13th overall.

Earlier this month Webcor's former Canadian national champion, 23 year old Alex Wrubleski, won the women's Sunset Road Race, as well as the overall women's title, at the Redlands Bicycle Classic.

Alex Wrubleski has notably been a successful rider thus far in her still young cycling career. After racing with Colavita Sutter Home in 2007, Wrubleski has joined Webcor Builders women's pro cycling team for the 2008 season.
