Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Ivan Stevic has made many appearances on the top step of race podiums both domestically and as the Serbian National Road Champion in 2006 and as the UCI B World Road Race Champion in 2007. He is representing his country in the Summer Olympics in Beijing in August.

Ivan Stevic (Toyota-United) is the 2007 UCI B Road World Champion. The 27 year old Serbian rider also won a stage at last years Tour de Georgia adn could be one of the aces in the sleeve of Toyota-United at the upcoming Tour of California.

Twenty-six year old Ivan Stevic hails from Belgrade, Serbia. He’s just finished his sophomore season as a U.S. based professional, after racing for five years in an amateur Italian league. The fresh-faced Ivan is proud of the name he’s made for himself in the U.S. peloton, and he’s grateful for the chance he’s been given to live out “the American Dream.”

The name Ivan Stevic is one most North American cycling fans wouldn't have heard very often - their team, Aerospace Engineering-VMG is probably even more enigmatic in that it's the fruit of two nations' ability to work together to produce talented riders capable of winning races. Cyclingnews' Mark Zalewski sat down with Stevic to find out a little more about the Serbian rider and the little-known Serbian/American team.
