I need to make a mark at Team Sky now

It’s not unfair to call Andy Fenn’s career to date a disappointment. He acknowledges as much himself and, as he looks ahead to his second season with Team Sky, he is aware of the passing of time and the need to take a step forward.

At just 22 years of age, Andy Fenn is starting his second season with WorldTour ProTeam Omega Pharma-Quick Step. The English-born Scot burst onto the elite scene last year with victory in two of the four races in the Challenge Mallorca - the Trofeo Palma and Trofeo Migjorn - and, after the solid season that followed, is looking to build further in 2013.

Last week was a very good one for Omega-Pharma QuickStep’s 22 year-old Briton, Andy Fenn. The Belgian ‘super team’ renewed his contract for 2013 and he enjoyed a good week at the Tour of Denmark; taking second and fourth on stages as well as the ‘best young rider’ award.

Young GB riders have been making a stir in the Flatlands, recently. The trend was started by AN Post’s Andy Fenn who was one of the early animators in one of the spring's first big classics: Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne.

Last month Olympic Development rider Andrew Fenn won the Junior version of the classic road race, Paris Roubaix. It was his biggest victory by far and one he hopes to use as a springboard to become a professional on the road and track in the coming years.
