Diego Rosa is ready to embark on his new professional adventure. The 32-year-old has signed a contract with Eolo-Kometa, a team that will allow him to return to have more space for personal ambitions, after his experiences in Astana, Ineos and Arkea-Samsic, where he had to put himself at the service of the captains.

Diego Rosa è pronto a ripartire… Anzi è già ripartito. E lo ha fatto da Oliva, in Spagna, con la Eolo-Kometa, la sua nuova squadra. Con il piemontese cerchiamo di capire che ambiente si respira nel team di Ivan Basso ed Alberto Contador, ma soprattutto come si è trovato lui.

È un Diego Rosa estremamente motivato quello che guarda al 2020. Il piemontese ha lasciato il Team INEOS per approdare alla formazione Professional Arkéa-Samsic, squadra che lo ha posto di fronte a una duplice responsabilità: aiutare i leader nei appuntamenti in calendario e ritrovare, lui stesso, il gusto della vittoria, che gli manca da qualche stagione (nel 2018 Rosa ha vinto la generale della Settimana Coppi e Bartali, ma non taglia un traguardo a braccia alzate dal 2016, quando vinse una tappa al Giro dei Paesi Baschi). Nella sua carriera, però, ci sono un secondo posto al Lombardia 2016 e la vittoria...

A very talented rider, part of a new generation that Italy hopes to shine in the seasons to come, Diego Rosa is racing his second Giro d’Italia and hopes to continue to impress, like he did in 2013, when he finished 23th, despite being a debutant and having to help his team leader, Franco Pellizotti. A former winner of the Giro della Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, the young rider from Piedmont took some time before the start of the Corsa Rosa for the following interview, in which he talked about his season, his training, and goals he has for the first Grand Tour of the year.
