CyclingNews, Daniel Benson, 28 January 2015

There’s an American hero in town and he’s lighting up a bike race with a performance soaked in everything that makes racing so exciting. It’s a ride of panache, guts, grace and a pure bloody-mindedness that says, today I’m going to leave everything out on the road.

Mike Creed of Rock Racing is one of our favorite bike racers, because: A - he talks to us, and B - he's funny - or he thinks he is. We are asking him more questions, and trying to avoid questions that may get him fired - because we would have no one to talk to.

At just 27 years of age, American Mike Creed of the Rock Racing team finished up his ninth year as a professional with his last road race of the season, the Tour of Missouri back in September.

Mike Creed is a professional bike racer who we occasionally pester with questions. He rides for Rock Racing, and I can only guess that the PR person working there hasn't Googled his name recently and found his interviews here.

Twenty-two year old Mike Creed is one of the most exciting young riders in the US Peloton. A strong time-trialist and climber, he's also a force to be reckoned with on the track. He's the current and three-time U23 U.S. National Time Trial Champion - he trounced his nearest rival this year by over a minute and a half - and is currently looking to put in a top ride at this year's U23 World Championships is Hamilton.

Trying to get together with a pro cyclist, especially one that’s splitting time between the US domestic scene and the National Team in Belgium, ain’t exactly easy, but after a couple of phone calls and a dozen or so emails, we finally connected with Mike Creed of Prime Alliance. The laughs alone were worth the wait…
