Quando Pidcock si pappò il Giro d’Italia degli under 23 nel 2020, alle sue spalle, mangiando polvere e fatica, c’era anche Giovanni Aleotti con la maglia bianconera del Cycling Team Friuli. Sebbene il Giro fosse diventato per lui il miglior ripiego dopo la cancellazione (causa Covid) del Tour de l’Avenir, mai avrebbe immaginato che quell’inglese dallo sguardo un po’ da… matto (in apertura, nella foto Scanferla) li avrebbe presi tutti a sberloni.

Le jeune champion Britannique Tom Pidcock (Telnet Fidea Lions), 18 ans, n’a pas pris le départ de la dernière manche de coupe du monde espoirs à Zeven. Actuellement en stage, il a plutôt choisi de se préparer au mieux pour les mondiaux avec de longues sessions d’entraînements, Il n’est qu’en 1 ère année espoirs et il a largement le temps de miser sur plusieurs objectifs à la fois.
