A star is born
John Degenkolb, 22, won his first World Tour race as he out-sprinted super motivated Frenchmen Samuel Dumoulin, Sébastien Hinault and Thomas Voeckler at the end of Stage 2 of the Dauphiné with a spectacular uphill finish at the Croix-Rousse of Lyon.
