Vuelta Interview - Thomas de Gendt
Thomas De Gendt took the cycling world by surprise when he ended 3rd overall in the Giro d'Italia earlier this year. Originally Vuelta España was the Belgian's target this season, but it seems like the Giro podium cost him too much energy in order to repeat the performance in Spain.

One of Vacansoleil’s more exotic recruits for season 2012 was reining Polish Elite road and time trial champion, Tomasz Marczynski.
Marczynski took out his first pro licence in 2006 with Italian squadra Ceramica Flaminia, the same year he landed second place in the Polish Elite Road Race Champion

Stefan Denifl has switched to his third professional team in as many years, after debuting in the pro ranks for the Cervélo Test Team and riding for Leopard Trek last year. The Austrian is on the hunt for his first win with World Tour team Vacansoleil-DCM and says he already feels at home.

Pim Ligthart kende in 2011 tijdens zijn eerste jaar als beroepsrenner een droomstart. In het voorjaar won hij de Hel van het Mergelland en in juni werd hij Nederlands kampioen op de weg. In 2012 wil Ligthart zich verder ontwikkelen en gaat hij op zoek naar de bevestiging.
