"A more Healthy choice"
Canadian Ryder Hesjedal, of Victoria, B.C., came away with a nice consolation prize for his efforts in the Tour de Georgia - the final king of the mountains jersey. Hesjedal, 26, joined the Health Net squad this year after his former squad, Phonak, disbanded following the 2006 season.

Wearing race number one
CSC rider Fränk Schleck took his first major victory in last year's Amstel Gold. He's back at the Amstel now, and today will attempt to defend his title in the monstrously tough Classic. Despite the pressure, Schleck was in a relaxed mood the day before the race.

Karsten Kroon transferred from The Netherland's Rabobank to Denmark's Team CSC in 2006, as he wanted to become a team leader. With those two Dutch Rabobank heroes, Erik Dekker and Michael Boogerd, gone the crowds will need a new champion and they don't need to look too far for that.
