Bitter was Lars Boom na het verlies van de gele trui in Parijs-Nice niet, maar wel toch licht teleurgesteld. Na de mindere benen van dinsdag hield hij er al stilletjes rekening mee, dat het einde van zijn 'regeerperiode' in de Koers naar de Zon aan het naderen was.

El Xacobeo Galicia dio por cerrado su recorrido por la ruta portuguesa del Camino de Santiago después de cubrir la tercera y última etapa entre Ponte de Lima y Santiago de Compostela, siguiendo el itinerario pontevedrés de la costa con un recorrido que rondó los doscientos kilómetros.
