Tiene 33 años. Empezó a competir en BMX a los 8 años. Comenzó en el ciclo-cross a los 15. Llegó a acumular ocho títulos de Bélgica. Es profesional desde 1989 y suma 215 triunfos en su palmarés. Lo ha ganado todo y sigue siendo capaz de aguantar el empuje de los jóvenes.
