Dos años hace que alcanzó el Olimpo. Como manda la tradición, Carlos Sastre salió vestido de amarillo de Alpe d'Huez después de ganar en la montaña de las 21 curvas. En 2003 ya ganó una etapa en la ronda gala con el chupete en la boca en honor a su hija recién nacido.
