The first man out of the starthouse at today’s individual time trial at Le Tour was not the current last placed rider, Dmitriy Muravyev from Astana it was Jiri Jezek multiple World and Paralympic champion on both the track and road. Jiri’s a simply amazing athlete who puts many able bodied professional cyclists to shame with both his abilities and his work ethic. PEZ was luckly enough to catch up with Jiri in Australia a number of years ago to hear his story.
