Jay Robert Thomson is the current South African road race champion. Thomson started his professional career at United Healthcare but moved over to Team MTN Qhubeka in 2013. Jay took the time to talk to Cycling Updates and from his answers you can see he really feels at home at Team MTN Qhubeka and is proud of the opportunities the team gives to him and African cycling in general. Now the question remains will Jay Robert be the first African rider to shine on the Flemish cobbles in the Tour of Flanders?
