Wouter Wippert is one of the most promising Dutch sprinters. In 2011 Wouter won a stage in the Tour de l’Avenir and after this he became 7th at the U23 world championship. At the end of 2012 he earned a place as an intern at Lotto Belisol thanks to his good results. In 2012 he came close again at the U23 World Championship (9th), but he ended the season with a bad injury. He broke his kneecap after crashing in the Sparkassen Munsterland Giro. Wippert his prepartion for the next season was disturbed by this injury, but he still managed to get in some good results. Thanks to these results Wouter Wippert has signed a pro contract at the Australian team Drapac Professional Cycling
