A Negrar (Vr), nella terra del Palio del Recioto, la tripletta sovietica targata CCCP la ricordano ancora in molti. Era il 1987 e, a salire sul gradino più alto del podio, fu Dmitri Konyshev: quel giorno, in gruppo, era presente anche Andrey Teteryuk, che giunse tra i primi dieci, approdò al professionismo e oggi è il direttore sportivo del Team Astana Continental. La formazione satellite del Team World Tour Astana, che ha in Vincenzo Nibali il proprio capitano, sarà al via della 53^ edizione del Palio del Recioto - Memorial Cav. Sante Carradori e, tra le proprie fila, schiererà anche un veronese doc come Michele Scartezzini.
