Trentino di Rovereto, 27 anni, gli ultimi cinque da professionista (NetApp), cinque e un po’ considerando il breve periodo da stagista (Liquigas), una vittoria (cronosquadre alla Settimana internazionale Coppi e Bartali). Cesare Benedetti è un emigrato per ciclismo: la sua squadra è tedesca, e tedesca rimarrà anche il prossimo anno, dopo il cambio di sponsor (Team Bora, esordio stagionale a fine gennaio a Maiorca). Da emigrato, sa parlare diverse lingue più, ovviamente, la lingua del gruppo.
