A los 30 años de edad, Albert Timmer es un miembro experimentado del pelotón. Integrante del Giant desde 2007, bajo las diferentes denominaciones (Skil Shimano, Argos-Shimano, Team Argos-Shimano, Team Giant-Shimano y Team Giant-Alpecin), ha permanecido inamovible debido a su gran aporte de inteligencia y trabajo en beneficio del resto.
