With that curiously British institution, the hill climbing season, drawing to its conclusion - the national championships are due to be held at the end of October - Paul Jones pops into the Café for a coffee and a chat about A Corinthian Endeavour, his book telling the history of hill climbing in the UK, a history that also manages to get to the heart of why we ride bikes in the first place.
