Not all the glory in the Tour of California belonged to Tejay van Garderen and Peter Sagan; winner of the Queen Stage in the United States’ biggest race was 25 year-old Leopold Konig (Team NetApp – Endura). But it was no surprise to those who knew Konig’s palmares; especially his GC win in the notoriously hilly 2010 Tour of Austria.
