Vassili Davidenko is a bad-ass bike racer. Starting in Tblisi, Georgia in 1983 at just 13 years old, he first rose to the top of the Soviet cycling world, training under the rigorous schedule of the worlds best amateur program. With the collapse of the Soviet Union in the late 80s he had the opportunity to move first into the professional peloton in Europe, and then to America.
