L'anno scorso non aveva partecipato alla Roc d'Azur, ma quest'anno la presenza del grande Miguel Martinez sarà fonte di emozioni importanti, dal momento che proprio a Frejus, annuncerà il suo ritiro dalle competizioni. Campione del Mondo e Campione Olimpico, Martinez è stato protagonista di questo ultimo decennio, anche se purtroppo, dopo la sua 'avventura' su strada, non è più riuscito a ritrovarsi appieno.
