Per lui il ciclismo č stata una scelta obbligata: Kevin Colleoni č un figlio darte e sua mamma Imelda Chiappa č stata la splendida azzurra che alle Olimpiadi di Atlanta nel 1996, conquistō largento alle spalle di Jeannie Longo. Fu sempre lei a salire sul terzo gradino del podio, nel Mondiale del 1987 nella cronometro a squadre.
