Tiene 34 años, ha sido profesional del ciclismo durante trece temporadas y ganó la Vuelta al País Vasco de 2002. Aitor Osa ha dejado de correr en bicicleta. Su vida ya no tiene nada que ver con el ciclismo, a pesar de que su aspecto físico sigue siendo el de un profesional.
