After crashing out of the Giro in 2005 (on Friday the 13th) when riding for Discovery, Victoria's Ryder Hesjedal made it all the way to Milan in this years edition. The achievement puts Hesjedal in line to be the first Canadian cyclist in more than 10 years to compete in the Tour de France.
