Jean-Patrick Nazon fait partie depuis quelques années des coureurs Français les plus rapides. En 2003, il s’était imposé à Paris lors de la dernière étape du Tour de France. La saison suivante, il s’imposait de nouveau dans la grande boucle à Wasquehal.
Cette saison, le sprinter de AG2R s’est notamment illustré lors du Circuit Franco-Belge ainsi que lors de sa victoire au GP Van Steenbergen
