Fabio Andres Duarte Arevalo
I want to do a good GC in the Giro.

Cafe Roubaix, 10 Mayo 2014
Under 23 World Champion back in 2008, Fabio Duarte came to Belfast prepared for his third Giro start. Team Colombia’s leader for the three-week race, Duarte hopes to capitalize on his Giro del Trentino form and be one of the protagonists in the tough mountains of the Corsa Rosa. One of the most talented climbers out there, the 27-year-old rider made some time before the Giro for the following interview, for which I also must thank David Evangelista, Team Colombia’s press officer.

Carlos Sastre Candil

9 Mayo 2014

Interview with Carlos Sastre.
When you cast your eye down the list of Tour de France winners in the past ten years, some names stand out far more than others. Lance Armstrong – before his titles were taken from him anyway – Alberto Contador and, for Australians, Cadel Evans, are all big names. But one rider that doesn’t rate as

On Tour de France defence, doping and life in the spotlight
After Chris Froome won last year’s Tour de France – the 100th edition of the most gruelling and prestigious of cycle races – he was asked how he felt when the final sunset stage on the Champs-Elysees came to a close.

Ireland’s Dan Martin will start the Giro d’Italia on Friday gunning for a top performance in the first edition of the race to start outside the European mainland. Cheered on by home fans, he has three goals in the event; the first is to take the pink jersey in the team time trial, although he admits

Drummond Trophy 2014 Winner
VeloVeritas didn’t make it to the recent Drummond Trophy, for which we offer our apologies to Mr, Norrie Drummond, one of the sport’s staunchest supporters and a former competitor himself – you can read of his Flemish exploits ‘back in the day'.

The Giro. That’s the plan…
Last week in an exclusive interview with Mick Rogers many topics were raised. He had just returned to his home in Switzerland after his first race since being cleared to compete again by the UCI. One early question was: Do you know if you’re going to the Giro?

Adam Hansen
Pez Cyclingnews,

PEZ Chat: Adam Hansen
Adam Hansen is one of the most reliable & strongest domestiques in the World Tour, a valued helper for André Greipel and previously one of Mark Cavendish’s main men but he’s also a lot more. He’s a Grand Tour stage winner, a businessman, an inventor and a nice guy to boot. We caught up with him for

Matt White: 2014 is going according to plan(s)
Twenty hours after Simon Gerrans blasted into the lead of Liège-Bastogne-Liège in the final 100 metres of the 263km race to become the first Australian to win this Classic in the Belgian Ardennes, his directeur sportif Matt White was on the phone. By then he was already back at his base in Spain aft

Carlos Barbero Cuesta
Cafe Roubaix,
2 Mayo 2014

My dream is Milan-Sanremo.
Four years ago, he made himself noticed for the first time in the U23 ranks, winning a stage in the Three Days of Alava. Since then, Carlos Barbero continued to impress and develop into a strong sprinter, whose dream is to win Milan-Sanremo, as his idol, Mario Cipollini, did back in 2002. Riding for
