In August of last year he began a trial with the Cofidis team, and got off to a good start with some solid results. The 23 year old amateur was sixteenth in the 1.1-ranked Châteauroux Classic de l’Indre and then went on to finish fifteenth on a stage of the Tour du Poitou Charentes.
