Vera Koedooder won her first gold medal in track World Cup competition last November in Sydney, Australia. Despite her success as a junior (world champion 2000 and 2001) Koedooder had not enjoyed similar results as a senior, due to a sequence of injuries that prevented her from riding at her best.
