Getting better and better

At just 19 years of age Adam Phelan had a tour to remember at the 2011 Tour of Taiwan. The Drapac rider from Canberra won the prologue, the White Jersey Competition for the best young rider and finished 6th on General Classification while providing support to his team in every stage.

James McCallum has been at it again; winning, that is – the 46th edition of the Davie Bell Memorial road race in Ayrshire, which was round four of the Scottish Power Renewables Super Six Series.
It was a third successive win in the series for the Rapha Condor-Sharp rider.

When Rigoberto Urán was only 14 years old, his father was gunned down in the streets of Urrao, Colombia. Rigoberto's father was an innocent victim, as shots rang out in the small Colombian town. Encouraged by his father, Rigoberto had completed his first bike race just three months earlier.
