Eros Capecchi
No limits

cyclingtime.com, 28 Mei 2011
There was an unusual atmosphere surrounding Eros Capecchi’s stage win in San Pellegrino Terme in the same street where Italian cycling legend Fausto Coppi was also a stage winner at the Giro d’Italia in 1955.

Hubert Dupont
cyclingtime.com,
27 Mei 2011

Getting better everyday
Hubert Dupont might have the most common family name for a Frenchman but he has stood out as one of the key players of the 2011 Giro d’Italia. After finishing fourth at the top of the Grossglockner on Stage 13, he made a breakaway again on Stage 17 and moved up to 14th overall.

Annemiek Van Vleuten
Podium Cafe,
27 Mei 2011

"We really do it for fun!" (1)
It was during the Drenthe races last year that Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleuten gave the first hints that she was a rider to watch, and that Nederland Bloeit would be much more than a team built around Marianne Vos.

Michael Barry
teamsky.com,
26 Mei 2011

"there isn't much time to get bored"
Michael Barry is working hard for the team at the Giro d'Italia right now, but has taken time out from his busy schedule to answer some more of the queries you have been firing his way since the last question and answer session:

Jaan Kirsipuu
cyclingtime.com,
24 Mei 2011

Still Racing, Still Winning
Estonian Jaan Kirsipuu is one of the most successful sprinters of the pro peloton. He won stages in the Tour de France and even wore the yellow jersey several days. The fact that he isn’t only a sprinter he proved in 2002 when he won Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne after an impressive solo!

Fumiyuki Beppu
cyclingtime.com,
23 Mei 2011

"I’m a professional cyclist; I’m here to do my job"
The only Japanese taking part in this year’s Giro d’Italia, one year after Yukiya Arashiro, is Fumiyuki Beppu with RadioShack. It means he won’t ride the Tour de France again but this could well be his first year doing two Grand Tours with the Vuelta a España being a possibility in August.

José Rujano
cyclingtime.com,
23 Mei 2011

"There are so many climbs yet to come!"
The morning of his fabulous come back as a stage winner of the Giro d’Italia, six years after his epic ride over the colle delle Finestre when he finished third overall and king of the mountains, José Rujano talked to CyclingTime about his return at the top of world cycling.

Bernard Van Ulden
uscyclingreport.com,
22 Mei 2011

Proud to be a Jelly Bellyian
I caught up with Jelly Belly rider Bernard Van Ulden prior to the start of the ATOC and talked with him about his expectations and challenges for the event. The 30 year old San Francisco native has consistently improved his TT skills and was especially looking forward to the Solvang TT.

Rubens Bertogliati
velonation.com,
21 Mei 2011

"There was more wind than I thought"
VeloNation had a chance to catch up with Swiss time trial champion Rubens Bertogliati following the Amgen Tour of California's stage six yesterday. Going into the race he said the course was one that suited him well, but only finished a disappointing 29th.

Emma Pooley
Telegraph Sport,
20 Mei 2011

"I'm pretty dumb at tactics"
Emma Pooley made a name for herself in 2008 after a selfless ride in Beijing led to Cooke winning a gold medal in the women's Olympic road race. The following year Pooley won the Grande Boucle Féminine, a stage race often referred to as the women's Tour de France.

Brent Bookwalter
uscyclingreport.com,
20 Mei 2011

"I still like mountain biking a lot"
Stage 5 from Seaside to Paso Robles saw Jeff Louder in the breakaway and Taylor Phinney finish eighth, but it was a crash by Brent Bookwalter that made the biggest news for the BMC Racing Team at the Amgen Tour of Caliornia. We had interviewed him before the start of the race.

Emma Johansson
cyclingtime.com,
20 Mei 2011

"Racing in China is ok"
After winning the bronze medal at the World Championship last year Emma Johansson is one of the big favorites for the Worlds in Copenhagen. The silver medal winner at the Olympic Games in 2008 already has 5 victories this season and finished 4th in the Tour of Chongming Island last week.

John Gadret
cyclingtime.com,
20 Mei 2011

"I don’t like the Tour that much"
Frenchman John Gadret surprised many observers with his rocket attack in the last 300 metres of Stage 11 of the Giro d’Italia in Castelfidardo. His first stage win in a Grand Tour at the age of 32 opens the way for the Ag2r-La Mondiale rider to also enter the top ten for the first time.

Igor Antón
cyclingtime.com,
19 Mei 2011

"it’s a very different thing to be racing in Spain in September and in Italy in May"
Igor Antón once again finished inside the group of favourites on yesterday's testing uphill finish to Castelfidardo and keeps his 11th place overall. The Euskaltel rider has been quiet so far but promises to go for a stage win during the final week of the Giro.

Tom Danielson
velonews.com,
19 Mei 2011

Mt Baldy is like Mt Evans with Brasstown Bald on top
Garmin-Cervélo’s Tom Danielson put in an impressive ride on Sierra Road Wednesday, finishing fifth on the summit finish to move into third overall, behind RadioShack’s Chris Horner and Levi Leipheimer.

Sharon Laws
Podium Cafe,
18 Mei 2011

"Taking the opportunities as they come"
Garmin-Cervélo rider Sharon Laws is one of those riders who cycling fans love to love. She’s a killer mountain domestique – for the past two years, you know it’s a hard race when you read about how Laws was in an early break, forcing the peloton to chase her down… ready for Emma Pooley to attack jus

cyclingtime.com,
17 Mei 2011

Riding High
Christophe Le Mével is third on GC at the Giro d’Italia behind Alberto Contador and Konstantin Sivtsov at almost the half way point of the race. He is leading Italian stars Vincenzo Nibali and Michele Scarponi and aims for a top ten finish, as he achieved at the 2009 Tour de France.
