Simon Gerrans has the ambition to strike at the Ardennes classics again. Two years ago, the Australian made the top 10 at the Amstel Gold Race, Flèche-Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège but didn’t recover in time from a crash at the Criterium International to repeat his performance last year.

Going from Footon to Wonderful Pistachios
When Tom Faiers was 18 and training in Murcia he met Alejandro Valverde and Luis Leon Sanchez who encouraged him to race in Spain.
Faiers found it really hard to start with but his breakthrough came in 2009 with eighth in the Vuelta Madrid, one of the biggest under 23 races in Spain.
