Our intrepid man in the race, Dan Fleeman, has been fighting the good fight over the past few days. The glory of Stage 2 has faded and the hard road is banging the Cervelo boys hard on the head. Dan is doing just fine though - let's see what he has to say!

‘Biggest win of my career’
Tyler Farrar did what many haven’t been able to manage lately – come around Mark Cavendish to win a bunch sprint. He timed his final punch to the line perfectly to win the 166km third stage from Fuchecchio to Santa Croce Sull’Arno at the 44th Tirreno-Adriatico on Friday.

"fantastic to win at this level"
Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky? Tyler Farrar bolted past Mark Cavendish to win Friday’s third stage at Tirreno-Adriatico. Cavendish looked to have the sprint in the bag when Farrar came off his wheel and surged past his left shoulder to take the biggest win of his European career.

Stage 3 of the Tour of California from San José to Modesto was an uncomfortably wet and cold day in the saddle for the riders. It was also the end of the race for Phil Southerland (Team Type 1), disqualified for “holding onto team cars for an extended period of time”
