Depuis la création de l’équipe Française des Jeux, désormais fdj.fr, Yvon Madiot est en charge du recrutement des jeunes, de ceux qui viendront assurer la continuité dans l’excellence. Les résultats obtenus par Yvon sont tels qu’il bénéficie d’une absolue marge de manœuvre pour détecter, guider, recruter les jeunes au sein de la Fondation FDJ et les faire passer professionnels. Au départ, sa recherche des différents profils de coureurs ne s’inscrit pas dans une démarche scientifique, elle repose sur son regard, son intuition, sur du subjectif mais en l’occurrence, la méthode a fait ses preuves.
