QuickStep op pad met nieuwelingen

De Belgische formatie van QuickStep reist in januari naar Australië voor de Santos Tour Down Under. Volgens het persbericht van de Aussies zal Francesco Chicchi de (sprint)kar moeten gaan trekken voor de 'Vlamingen'.Chicchi is één van de nieuwe aanwinsten voor QuickStep in 2011, hij kwam over van Liquigas. Hij wordt vergezeld door Julien Vermote, Marco Bandiera en tweede sprintoptie Gerald Ciolek. Verder maken 'blijvers' Addy Engels, Davide Malacarne en Francesco Reda het Down Under-team compleet. Chicchi won in 2009 nog één etappe in de Tour Down Under, dat zal dit keer een lastiger kluif worden met Greipel, Farrar én Cavendish als concurrenten.
