Davis Down Under for Astana

Slowly but surely, more and more information is released about the participants in the Santos Tour Down Under, which starts on the 18th of January in- and around Adelaide. While not officially confirmed by the organisation's press service, Allan Davis made it clear that he will start his 2011 campaign in Adelaide.So Astana has a very strong rider on the startlist for the Tour Down Under already, and in Allan Davis even a former winner of the event (2009), at that time defending the QuickStep colours. Allan Davis is also one of the riders to reach peak-form late in 2010, which resulted in the bronze at the World's, and he hopes to carry that form through to spring-season 2011.
While the Aussie hopes to peak in the famous Milan-SanRemo monument, his current shape could give him the edge in the Santos Tour Down Under. Prior to this UCI WorldTour race, he will test in the Nationals, after which some of the TDU stages look to be tailor made for the likes of Davis. Source: Various media
