Uitdagende Vuelta a España 2011

The nieuwe route van de Vuelta a España is onlangs bekend gemaakt. Verrassend is dat de Spanjaarden voor het eerst in dertig jaar het Baskenland aandoen! Diverse etappes spelen zich af in het noord-oosten en aan de Atlantische kust van noord-Spanje. De beklimming naar de alom gevreesde Anglirú maakt ook weer deel uit van de ronde.

Challenging Vuelta a España 2011

The route of the Vuelta a España has recently been released. A nice surprise is that the Spanish Tour will visit the Basque Country for the first time in thirty years! Several stages in the North-East and alongside the Atlantic Ocean are scheduled, the climb to the feared Anglirú also included in the Tour.

Rest UCI Pro-Conti teams nu ook bekend

De UCI heeft vandaag de overige licenties voor de Professional-Continental klasse bekend gemaakt. Naast de 16 teams die eerder deze week door CyclingFever werden onthuld, zijn er nu nog 7 teams toegevoegd aan de lijst. Daarmee komt het aantal teams voor 2011 op 23 Pro-Conti team, dat is twee meer dan het aantal in 2010.

Une deuxième place au classement général d’une épreuve de classe 2, en l’occurrence les Boucles de la Mayenne, Marc Fournier (CC Nogent-sur-Oise) n’en espérait pas tant. Pour sa première année Espoir, il enchaîne en ce mois de juin deux beaux week-end après une deuxième place sur le Tour d’Eure-et-Loir la semaine précédente. Per la nostra rubrica "Conosciamo Meglio" abbiamo oggi con noi Omar Bertazzo. Nato a Este in provincia di Padova il 7 gennaio 1989, è professionista ormai da tre anni con la maglia dell'Androni Venezuela di Gianni Savio. Passista-veloce, è specializzato anche nell'attività su pista dove nel 2011 ha vinto il Campionato Italiano nell'inseguimento a squadre, quest'anno si è distinto in Francia dove ha colto alcuni buoni piazzamenti in corse di un giorno. Vi proponiamo di seguito l'intervista che ci ha rilasciato qualche giorno fa.

It was back in January when we spoke to ‘Philly’ organiser Dave Chauner about the demise of the coolest race on the US calendar. But you can’t keep a good race – and a good party – down and the faithful were out on The Manayunk Wall on Sunday as Philly changed organising committee and parcours – but not its vibe.
The barbecues sizzled, the cool boxes emptied and the big field put on a show – ten times up The Wall. But with the new finish atop that Wall the winner was no longer a big finisher – it needed a man with speed and climbing ability. Step forward the man who just the week before had taken his third bronze in the US Pro Champs, Kiel Reijnen (UnitedHealthCare) – and we’ll let you into a secret about that third bronze, too.

Aurrez aurreko Marianne Vosek ('s-Hertogenbosch, Herbehereak, 1987) txiki utzi du bizikleta gaineko Marianne Vos. Egungo munduko eta olinpiar txapelduna da bizikleta gainekoa, baina artista handi bat dago 169 zentimetroko gorputz ihar horren atzean. «Zergatik da Gasteiz Euskal Herriko hiriburua? Bilbo handiagoa da, ezta? Eta zergatik jartzen dizkiozue hiri bati bi izen; Donostia eta San Sebastian, esaterako?». Dena irabazita ere irabaztea dena ez dela aitortu du. Durango-Durango probaren eta Emakumeen Biraren zubi lanetan, Elorrioko «paradisuan» aritu da BERRIArekin hizketaldi lasaian. Bizikleta gainetik haratago dauka klase ikaragarria Marianne Vosek.
