When the Australian Pro Continental team Drapac merged with the Cannondale WorldTour team at the end of the 2016, just three riders came across from the smaller setup. Of the three — Will Clarke, Brendan Canty and Tom Scully — just one had prior WorldTour experience: Will Clarke.

On parle souvent des « stars » de l'équipe Leopard-Trek mais qu'en est-il des « petits nouveaux » ? Will Clarke, encore peu connu en France, a accordé une interview à Cyclism'Actu. Une occasion de connaître un peu mieux ce coureur atypique, passé professionnel en Europe fin 2010, à l'âge de 25 ans.

The Luxembourg Pro Cycling Project has signed australian Will Clarke (stagiaire with AG2R La Mondiale in the second half of the 2010 season). Earlier this year, Clarke was third overall in the Tour of Taiwan and was also fourth in the Australian time trial championships.

Tasmanian Will Clarke showed brilliant athletic ability before taking up cycling, being a successful 400 and 800 metre runner. He burst onto the scene claiming a solid victory in a strong Australian race, the Goulburn to Citi in 2008, not long after he signed with Praties.
