Last season was a great one for Silvan Dillier, the 25-year-old rider of BMC Racing Team: a pro since 2014, the young Swiss started and finished his first Grand Tour – the Giro d’Italia – where he even went on to the attack on a couple of occasions, and in June took his first pro victory, in the time trial race at the National Championships. From that moment on, Silvan’s season got better and better and he confirmed the potential many had noticed since he rode in the U23 ranks and won the Flèche Ardennaise or the Tour de Normandie in commanding fashion.

Silvan Dillier is a 23 year old all-rounder from Switzerland. He has been getting some great results over the last years, which earned him a spot as a trainee at the BMC Racing Team at the end of 2013. As a trainee he made a great impression and even managed to get a professional win in the Tour of Alberta! Silvan is great on the hills, has a more then decent sprint, and can ride a good time trial. Dillier also won several titles on the track in the last few years. He is a real all-rounder who every cycling fan should keep an eye on!

It’s not been a bad old year for BMC and Switzerland’s 23 year-old Silvan Dillier. In the spring he took the GC in the Tour of Normandy by a scant three seconds from 2011 winner, big Alex Blain (France & Raleigh). Then came wins in a stage of the the Tryptique Ardenaisse and in the Fleche Ardenaisse – both important races on the Belgian calendar.

We last spoke to up and coming 23 year-old Swiss star, Silvan Dillier back in the spring after his win in the Tour of Normandie; since then he’s been a busy man. There was stage win in the hotly contested Triptyque Ardennaise in Belgium, a win in Cham-Hagendorn in Switzerland and stage in the Fleche Ardennaise in Belgium. Then came a ride as a stagiaire with the BMC World Tour team – and an excellent win in Stage Two of the Tour of Alberta.
