Being an avid watcher of the sport, I knew about the talent he possessed, but even I was surprised by his rapid rise through the sprinting ranks. Als jeugdig wielrenner droom je natuurlijk hardop van een profcarrière. Dat is voor weinigen weggelegd. Ook voor Cees Bol had het anders kunnen uitdraaien. Maar gelukkig kreeg hij van zijn team SEG Racing Academy een extra kans om wat langer te blijven.
