Laurens ten Dam has a reputation for being one of the hard men of professional cycling. Unafraid to put in long training miles and ride multiple three-week stage races in a single season, the Team Blanco rider is not only a valuable teammate but also capable of winning in the most grueling mountain terrain. After proving himself with a top-10 overall finish at the 2012 Vuelta a Espaņa, ten Dam hopes to be a team leader at one of the 2013 grand tours. He spoke about his goals, his love for the sport, and his new team at this January training camp in Spain.
