What does the points system mean for teams and riders and how does the granting of licenses work?

We asked McQuaid about the conversations the UCI had been having with the Gifted Group, about the points system and the impact of the points system on riders and teams, and about the granting of World Tour licenses.

McQuaid told us the points system had been tweaked for the past two years, that all the teams are well aware of how they gain a World Tour License, and that the license commission is a seperate entity from the UCI.
