Monster crowds cheered the riders as the tackled the 190km journey from Leeds to Harrogate with British OGE rider Simon Yates meeting the Royal Family before the start. It was a chaotic finish to the stage with Simon Gerrans crashing in the final but luckyly not sustaining injuries to prevent a start in stage 2.

There was plenty of colour out on the roads so enjoy all the action inside and out of the team car in another episode of OGE Backstage Pass.
