Team Type 1-Sanofi rider Javier Megias has type 1 diabetes.
On stage four of the Tour de Suisse, in the rain, cold and hills, Javi went on a day-long breakaway with eight other professional cyclists. For four hours he rode at nearly full effort, eating, drinking and recovering when he could.
In this video, Javi talks about his stage four breakaway and how diabetes is no obstacle to an extraordinary life.
